Kaizer Sr.
Kaizer Sr. endured five months due to lack of advanced diagnostic and treatment facility at Ahmedabad, subjected to unnecessary antibiotics and steroids for an ailment he never had. His health deteriorated with significant weight loss and a weakened immune system, yet his fighting spirit remained unbroken.
Dharmendra, founder and Director of Paws Universe, sought answers tirelessly. Advanced testing at a Bangalore lab revealed a treatable Hemoprotozoan infection. Tragically, on Sunday December 13, 2020, Kaizer Sr. developed high fever of 105°F. The clinic administered a drip but lack of indoor admission & treatment facility he was taken back home. At home, Dharmendra struggled to manage his rising fever, but it spiked to 107°F. At 1:58 AM on December 14, Kaizer Sr. passed away in Dharmendra’s arms, giving one final gesture of love.
Kaizer Sr.’s loss at just seven years old was preventable. The lack of accurate diagnosis, proper treatment, and advanced veterinary infrastructure in Ahmedabad led to this tragic loss.
Driven by this pain, Dharmendra chose purpose over despair through his belief:
“No one can get through life without pain, but one can choose how to use it. The deeper the pain, the greater should the purpose be.”
This advanced veterinary hospital stands as a loving tribute to Kaizer Sr.’s legacy with a commitment to ensure no pet endures the same fate.
Kaizer Jr. was born on December 22, 2020, just a week after Kaizer Sr. passed away. On October 9, 2022, Kaizer Jr. developed GDV (Gastric Dilation Volvulus), a life-threatening condition, late at night. Desperate, Dharmendra reached out to numerous veterinary clinics but faced rejections due to the late hour and perceived lack of urgency.
Finally, a doctor agreed to help, but without an assistant, surgery seemed impossible. Determined, Dharmendra assisted the doctor himself. The surgery began at 2:15 AM and lasted until 6:30 AM. Miraculously, Kaizer Jr. survived.
This ordeal ignited Dharmendra’s determination to prevent such helplessness for other pet parents. He established a 24/7 super specialty veterinary hospital, ensuring no animal would suffer due to lack of immediate and advanced care. Driven by compassion and dedication, the hospital stands as a beacon of hope for pets and their families.
