Veterinary Physician will responsible for providing high quality medical care to pets through, best diagnostic skills, treatment of ill patient, critical care and emergency and provide best advice to pet parents regarding the health status of their pets. You will work closely with other veterinary professionals and support staff to ensure the well-being of pets and other animals.
Key Responsibilities:
Medical Care:
- Conduct Proper History of animals.
- Examine pets to detect and determine the nature of diseases or injuries.
- Administer vaccines to prevent common diseases in animals.
- Prescribe medication to treat health issues in animals.
- Providing information regarding benefits of Immunization, Deworming, Ectoparasites Prevention & Treatment.
- Providing Information to pet owners regarding nutritional care of growing Pets, Nursing care of bitch during & after Pregnancy and other routine care of pets.
- Educate pet owners on overall general health care, pet illness & Emergency
- Conduct tests and observe symptoms to identify health conditions
- Provide emergency care to sick or injured animals
Diagnostic skills:
- Good physical examination & diagnostic skills
- Critical Care & Emergency
- Indoor Patient care and Emergency
- Perform Blood transfusion
- Conduct Otoscopic examination, Dermatological examination,
- Conduct and interpret Electrocardiography (ECG), Blood Pressure Measurement, Diagnostic test including blood work, Dermatological testing, Dialysis Procedure
- Collaborate with veterinary specialists for advanced diagnostic and treatment options when necessary.
Client Interaction:
- Communicate effectively with pet parents to explain Diagnosis, Treatment options, Prognosis and care instructions regarding different diseases condition and other health related condition
- Provide compassionate and empathetic support to clients during difficult situations, such as emergency, trauma, acute and chronic illness management
Record Keeping:
- Maintain detailed and accurate medical records for all patients on software.
- Ensure compliance with all legal and ethical standards in veterinary medicine.
- Provide emergency care and treatment for animals in critical condition
- Be available for on-call duties as required.
- May involve working in rotational shifts
Emergency Care:
Professional Development:
- Engage in continuous professional development to maintain and enhance expertise in veterinary Medicine
- Attend relevant conferences, workshops, and training sessions.
- Contribute to the education and training of veterinary interns, residents, and technicians.
Team Collaboration:
Qualifications:
- Master of Veterinary Medicine (MVSc -Clinical Medicine) degree from an accredited veterinary College.
- Valid veterinary license to practice in India.
- Minimum of 2 and maximum of 7 years of experience as a veterinary Physician.
- Proficiency in diagnostic skill and treatment and critical emergency
- Strong diagnostic skills and the ability to interpret complex medical history/data.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Compassionate and empathetic approach to animal care.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and sometimes stressful environment.
- Commitment to continuing education and professional development.
