Coagulation Analysis

Is the wound not sealed with a blood clot or issue in blocking blood from open wounds, coagulation analysis helps in understanding the reason behind the mishap.

What: Coagulation factors are developed in liver and with cooperation with platelets, they create a blood clot at the site of injury.

When: Some pet breeds have higher incidence of clotting factor deficiencies or underlying liver challenges and thus, coagulation analysis is suggested prior to any surgical processor.

How: By drawing blood sample and using it to count platelets, bone marrow, liver function can be estimated through laboratory test.

Why: It can help diagnose anaemia, bone marrow deficiencies, infection, and haemophilia.
