A kind citizen who feeds and cares for stray dogs in her compound called for urgent help after noticing a dog bleeding and hiding in fear.

Upon reaching the spot, a terrified dog was found with one eye completely out of the socket and a severely broken jaw. It was informed that she had been brutally assaulted and had been hiding there in pain since morning.

Attempts were made to arrange an animal ambulance, but none were available in Bhavnagar for the next 4–5 hours. With the help of another local dog carer, she was rescued and rushed to a nearby clinic.

After examination, the doctor informed that the injuries were extremely complicated. As he was the only surgeon available, he advised stabilising her first and referring her to a larger hospital for emergency treatment.

A pet taxi was immediately arranged, and she was transported to Paws Universe.

Upon arrival, the doctors confirmed that she needed urgent surgery to repair her jaw and remove the damaged eye. Despite the unimaginable pain and cruelty she had endured, she remained gentle, loving, and full of spirit. That is when she was named Jack Sparrow — a fighter who refused to give up.

Jack Sparrow suffered brutality at the hands of a human who showed no compassion, but today her painful past is behind her.

Once she recovers, she will spend the rest of her life safe, loved, and cared for at Simbaz Sanctuary by Paws Universe Foundation.

Her treatment, surgeries, transport, and ongoing recovery have been extensive, and support is being sought to help cover her medical expenses and rehabilitation.

Every contribution, no matter how small, will help Jack Sparrow continue her journey from cruelty to safety, healing, and love. 🐾
